Mantis, the leading supplier of extended Supply Chain Execution (SCE) software and solutions in South Eastern Europe, and its partner Novensys, the leading supplier of logistics and auto-id solutions in Romania, announced today that Interbrew Romania selected Mantis’ Warehouse Vision to automate its warehousing operations and achieve full traceability required by European Union.

Interbrew, headquartered in Ploiesti, is among the leaders in beer brewing and distribution in Romania and a subsidiary of the largest brewer in the world InBev. With a manufacturing unit in Ploiesti and a pan-Romanian distribution network, Interbrew is the leader in the local market.

At the first stage of this project, Novensys will implement Warehouse Vision at the central distribution center of Interbrew in Ploiesti. The project is currently in the analysis phase and is expected to reach completion in the summer of 2007. The deployment of the system to the rest of distribution centers will follow at a later stage.

Warehouse Vision, a member of Mantis’ state-of-the-art Logistic Vision Suite, was selected as the platform for the WMS information solution. When selecting the system, Interbrew took into account key advantages such as broad functional capabilities meeting the most up-to-date requirements of its beverage warehousing and distribution network, flexibility of the system allowing quick adaptation to its requirements, possibility of extending system’s functionality through subsequent introduction of additional modules of the Logistic Vision Suite and short implementation period. The selection of Novensys was due its long experience in implementing logistics information systems as well as its ability to provide Interbrew with high quality local support all over Romania.
