Mantis, a leading supplier of extended Supply Chain Execution (SCE) software and solutions in Eastern Europe, and its partner ANT Technologies, the leading supplier of logistics and auto-id solutions in Russia, announced today that Merlion Russia, has decided to invest in Mantis’ Warehouse Vision.

Merlion, Russia’s largest distributor of computer equipment and digital devices, after an extensive market search, is investing in Mantis’ Warehouse Vision for the optimization of their logistics operations.

Merlion, a broad line distributor with a product range covering all popular types of computers and digital devices, like computer equipment, components, peripherals, mobile and digital devices, networking hardware and office equipment, is operating from 8 regional sales offices covering every federal district of Russia and is also building, through franchising a large retail network under the brand name of Positronica with a target of around 400 outlets by the end of 2007.

The logistics operations of the company are covered by a main Distribution Center of 7.000 square meters in Moscow and 4 regional warehouses. The project is currently focusing on the main Distribution Center and will be deployed to the rest of distribution centers at a later stage.
