Lekkerland Romania, a daughter company of Lekkerland GmbH & Co. KG Germany, a provider of non-stop type convenience store, has decided to invest in Mantis’ Logistics Vision for its main distribution center in Bucharest. The implementation of the project will be done by Mantis’ partner Novensys, the leading supplier of logistics and auto-id solutions in Romania.

Lekkerland Romania, is providing more than 2.000 items to over 550 customers in Romania including foodstuff, cigarettes, non-food items, auto-accessories, cosmetics, telecom items etc. Their brand new distribution center is just outside Bucharest with an approximate area of 7,000 square meters and is the hub for the entire country.

Lekkerland, in late 2006, realized the need for a state-of-the-art logistics information system to optimize its operations and ensure customer service standards for their clients and initiated a search for the procurement of such a system. Finally, Lekkerland opted for Mantis’ Logistics Vision Suite due to its complete functionality (including Pick to Light and Voice Logistics solutions), adaptability, Mantis’ experience and strong presence in the Romanian market.

In the context of the project, Novensys will initially introduce the core of the Warehouse Vision at the distribution center - with a number of additional modules to follow later, and sophisticated warehouse activity visualization tools enabling real-time warehouse operation monitoring.
