Mantis, a leading supplier of extended Supply Chain Execution (SCE) software and solutions in Eastern Europe, announced today that Sarantis Polska, the Polish subsidiary of the Sarantis Group, a leading supplier of mass market cosmetics, household and personal hygiene FMCG products in Central Eastern Europe, has decided to invest in Mantis’ Logistics Vision for its logistics operations in Poland.
Sarantis Group, produces and distributes a wide range of FMCG products focusing in mass market cosmetics, household and personal hygiene products. The company with its headquarters in Athens-Greece, holds a leading position in the Greek market and has also significant presence through its own subsidiaries in 7 countries in Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Czech Republic, FYROM, and Hungary).
Sarantis Polska, with its mass fragrance (brands STR8, C-Thru, X-POSE, Whisky, Nair, Pearl Drops) and household products (brands Jan Niezbedny, Grosik, Camel, Kamelia) holds a leading position in the Polish market. Its distribution center in Pruszkow, is used to store materials and finished products. Due to the expansion of operations, the more intense turnover and increased load in warehousing and distribution activities, it has become difficult for the company to operate its warehouse efficiently using their own home-grown WMS. At the same time, the needs of its customers encourage Sarantis Polska to strive to meet the highest industry standards for customer service. In order to increase its customer service level while at the same time reduces its logistics costs, Sarantis Polska decided to invest in an advanced WMS to completely automate all the activities of its distribution center in Poland. In a competitive bidding to choose such a WMS, with the participation of several vendors offering both Polish and international systems, the most complete solution came from Mantis with its Logistics Vision III.
Sarantis highly appreciated the rich functionality and high adaptability of the Logistic Vision Suite, as well as Mantis’ strong presence and support in Central Eastern Europe. The latter factor is very important for Sarantis Group as it plans to use a single software platform to automate all its logistics facilities in the region.
"Above all we want to simplify and speed up the warehousing and distribution processes with Logistics Vision to save both time and money through streamlined and highly efficient operations", says Mr. Szymanski, Supply Chain Director of Sarantis Polska.
"Sarantis Polska is an important customer for Mantis due to the fact that it is our first major WMS customer in Poland and the successful automation and streamlining of Sarantis’ highly complex and demanding logistics operations will be a perfect success story for Mantis/LV’s penetration in the dynamically expanding Polish market. Furthermore, Sarantis’ intention to consider this Polish WMS project as a pilot towards standardizing in a single software platform for all its logistics facilities in Central Eastern Europe, makes this a very important project for Mantis", states Mr. G.Thiopoulos, Manager of Mantis’ Sales Office in Poland.
