Among the most important investments in logistics in Greece for year 2009 is the one that has been realized by Glou.
The company, that has been founded in 1985, in Athens, is one of the top wholesalers and retailers of clothing and sportswear in the Greek market exclusively distributing very well known international brands like Puma, Quicksilver, Reporter, Cotcha, Rossignol, etc. It currently operates and serves a large distribution network of more than 40 owned or franchisee stores and more than 600 point of sales through its 80,000 sqf. distribution centre.
The company recognized that, in order to stay competitive and maintain its leadership in such a tough economic situation, it should dramatically reduce its logistics costs while at the same time improving it customer service. The first step in this direction was to automate its main DC in Athens and did it by selecting and deploying Mantis’ Logistics Vision.
