PSB group, that operates in the market for over 13 years, is the largest wholesaler of building materials in Poland, bringing together 296 small and medium-sized, family-run businesses from across Poland. The company distributes more than 155.000 product items, originating from 390 domestic and foreign suppliers.
In order to maintain its leadership in Poland and also efficiently support its continuous expansion in Europe, the group needed to optimize its complex logistics processes and operations. The selection and implementation of an advanced modern logistics information system was the first step towards that goal. Following a thorough market research, the group selected Mantis’ state-of-the-art Logistics Vision software suite (LVS) that will be implemented by Mantis Polska, the Polish and Central-Northern European arm of Mantis International.
The project concerns the central warehouse, supporting the network of local depots operated by PSB’s wholesalers and the network of "PSB-ant" (DIY). The central warehouse complex consists of 5 buildings, including a newly built high bay warehouse with an area of 10.000 square meters and storage yard. Among the LVS modules that will be implemented is the Gate Management, which will assist the monitoring of vehicles that are going in and out of the warehouse complex as well as the management of loading and unloading docks.
